I joined in a round robin with the Baton Rouge MQG guild. This quilt is titled “The Four Seasons of Improv.”
Since everyone before me used improv and a bit of black for definition, I took that and ran. Haha, I ran with the idea. I crawled with the execution. I learned many “what not to do” lessons.
You’d think that I’d have improved with each winter tree, but no. Not me. My favorite is the first one I completed. But the others aren’t bad and I love that I came up with the idea of pairing off the trees so the cold night sky meets in the opposing corners.
Actually, I like the quilt! I took pictures in the hopes that I can come back to the idea later.
At last, this little quilt is off to BR. It made its way there along with Hurricane Ida. My Baton Rouge and New Orleans family and friends are all safe. The damages are going to take months to recover from, but Louisiana people are from hardy stock. I have not doubt that we’ll come back from this most current disaster. Just give us a minute.
