Welcome back! I’ve been away from blogging for a month. Since the whole EarthLink fiasco. Never, in the ten years since I started this gig, have I been away so long. But I perhaps it’s been a good thing. I’ve certainly racked up a few incidents: gardening, some pictures, some quilting and sewing stuff. I’ve been living, man.
Hmm, where to start? Let’s go back to the time I dropped off the face of the earth. That internet service. It’s no better. In fact, it’s worse. We have horrible phone service and nothing even remotely internet. The single bar we get simply can’t support internet. There’s no going back to wired in service. No company (and we’ve called oh-so-many) can do anything about our “dead zone.” We’re waiting for the government, yes really, to bring in 5G. There’s a grant and all that. Yeah.
Moving on. We have been enjoying beautiful sunshine here. Occasionally there’s a rain storm, but most of those circle around Evergreen. (Even the clouds know we’re in a dead zone?!) So we water everything that needs water: animals, plants, people. The pictures here are from my walks around the yard. So all the flowers are in either our yard or Adam and Jenny’s.
Adam decided to plant a field of wildflower. That “field” is a corner of his yard. He insists that it compares in size (to a regular field) if it’s maintained by a guy with a disability. He’s got a point. It’s a joy to walk over and cut flowers for a vase. Or just to see what is in bloom. Every day there’s something new and identifying some of the flowers is a fun challenge.
Sunflowers, cosmos, larkspur, butterweed, primrose, zinnas, viburnum, sage, beebalm, clover and many others.
