Photo drop of CQG’s Show and Share

Here in the Cotton Quilters’ Guild, we always enjoy show and share! Yes, despite the fact that I haven’t posted anything about it since April. Oops. Sorry! Never the less, our members are talented and prolific. Just take a look at some of our work.

First up: our opportunity quilt. It’s much prettier in person. The photographer (me) should take classes.

The house blocks! About four people (maybe more, I don’t know) are keeping up.

I create the blocks in EQ8 and then print the patterns or foundation paper piecing. I have used a couple of the houses already in EQ8, but have modified them to make them a little easier. If you don’t use EQ8, I highly recommend it!

Purses and bags and wallets, oh my!

More purses!

Sheila and Irma are friends who often make the same kits.

Show and Share take a while because we love hearing the stories behind the quilts. A few members may breathe heavy or roll eyes at me when I’m taking too long with a meeting item, but everyone is delighted when the first quilt opens up! Does your guild tell stories about the quilts during your show and share?
