Town Houses
Well, the town’s houses are complete. Most of the trees are grown. Heck, I even a few streets are in place. But, for some reason, I have not had a desire to work on it. We had a CQG meeting a couple of weeks ago, and I don’t know, I haven’t even unpacked the houses I brought. They are sitting, squashed together, in a container in my wagon. Oh, if you’re interested in making your own house quilt, here’s a site that will point you to several adorable patterns.

Quilt Show Setup
This week will not be a “Build the Town” week, either. We are having our biennial quilt show IN ONE WEEK! Of course, that means lots of prep, lots of people to deal with, and lots of fires to stamp out. Like the last time, it will be in the fire department building, which is fairly large and will hold our quilts. I’ll post about it once I’ve recovered. Have I mentioned that as president I’m the one who has to make decisions on the fly?

Our last set-up week caused a few tears, and I want to avoid that. Hmm, that means tred lightly and kindly. Listen, then walk away when things are too heated or hard. Goodness my therapy has taught me some things. Now can I put them into practice? Well, this is a good trial by fire situation.

To add to my stress, we have a completely new hanging system that the Patience Quilters of Alexandria donated to us. It’s much lighter than the old one and seems easier to put together, but we knew the old one. I imagine we can figure this one out. I bought enough zip ties at least. Only 1,000. But they come in packages of that or 100. Pricewise, this is a much better deal.
And so, this is my life right now. Building a town and putting on a quilt show. Not much happening here, right?
Have a great week everyone!
