Get Ready! It’s almost here!

Yes, indeedy! Our guild quilt show is coming up in just eight weeks! I know, I’m a bit excited about something that is still months away, but I’m president, remember? So I’ve got a few responsibilities. I’ve been trying to think of ways to make it special, but so far, I’m not likely to pull anything off. That would be because I don’t even have bad ideas. Forget any good ones! We’ll have to impress them with our quilts, I suppose. The opportunity quilt is very pretty, but it doesn’t photograph well. Even taking into account my sad abilities.
In other news, I’m keeping up with the house blocks. This despite a trip to Florida with the Betas and a bipolar depression episode that’s been happening for about two weeks now. I have managed to make half of the blocks for this month, and I’ve cut out the other half. Here’s a photo of all of the blocks I have complete, in no particular order.
My family has been trying to help with some fun distractions. We had our annual Water Wars over the July 4th weekend, and everyone helped put together this difficult puzzle. It was fun to watch the kids come in, look at it, pick up one piece, then sit at the table. Sometimes for a couple of hours. It happened every time, although for much shorter times.

Later, I’ll post some photos from our last guild meeting. Until then, here are two teasers: visit the AHIQ website for a fun challenge and check out some of the work from the guild.
