Rescue Dog Attends CQG Christmas Party

I have a “headline analyzer” app that scores my blog titles. I’m not sure how accurate it is, for my blog as least. But it’s fun to try to beat my best score, which has been 71. The problem is that words have to get a bit salacious to ratchet up that score. “CQG Christmas Party” gets a pauve, or sad, 40 points. Bring a rescue dog in, and suddenly I’m at 55, a number I can live with. Though, I’m a little curious…

Do you do that? Create challenges for yourself that are, perhaps, out of the realm of normalcy? So back to the dog and the party. Toby is a rescue dog with separation issues, so he regularly attends our meetings. Which means that while he increases headline points, there was nothing unusual about having him there. I used to bring Cottontop when he was young and I was the one with separate issues.

There you are. Caught up with CQG. I didn’t get pictures of everyone (though I thought I had) or the food or the gifts. I guess I was enjoying the company and, possibly, talking. Few people attended making social distancing easy, but those of us able to attend enjoyed ourselves. Afterward, we fixed plates of food and a few volunteers brought them to members who really can’t get out. It was kind of Maggie to make arrangements by bringing to-go plates and finding volunteers. Thanks ladies!

How are your Christmas plans and “parties” going?
