Where Improv Meets Intention
It’s been a while coming. I know. I planned to create video content of what my studio looks like for a long time. Like so many other things, life happened. Or maybe I just wasn’t ready. Whichever it is or was, I’ve gotten over it. If you click on this link, it will take you

I have been hoping for a sweet little Singer Featherweight for so long. I imagine anyone who quilts or sews hopes for one of these. We, Richard and I, have been watching to find one at a good price. I haven’t been very consistent with my search. It seems like a waste of time to
Not in the Marcotte home. We always wait until after Epiphany to take down the tree, pack up the nativity, and roll up the leftover paper. The wise men need to visit, after all. It gives me some down time to truly appreciate our many blessings. Meanwhile, I’ve been working on the last of the

It’s the first Monday! That almost always means a Cotton Quilters Meeting. Whew! What a workout! Sure, I’m president, so there’s that, but today Pam and I were in charge of lunch. She decided to have her husband, Derek, make a pot of spaghetti. Now, for most of us that means enough for perhaps ten

It’s been such a long while since I was last able to meet with my wonderful friends in the Cotton Quilters’ Guild. Precisely July of 2022! I really missed them all and, apparently, they also missed me. Not surprisingly, I definitely felt the love! Everyone, it seemed, had a Show and Tell item. Including me

Today I finished my latest quilt, Citrus Sherbert. Luckily, I took photos along the way. I’ve been wanting to write about my process. It’s time to document it, afterall. I generally pull fabrics based on the colors I’ve decided on. For this quilt, I thought I’d work with yellows and oranges. Of course, I am

Imagine that! I actually loaded a quilt onto the longarm, quilted it, and have removed it. All that’s left are the binding and label. YooHoo! It’s really exciting for me because I haven’t really quilted since I started this sweet job at the local Catholic school. I’ve enjoyed my time here, but I promised one
