The Summit and Covid.
What a combination, right? I had Covid this whole week. Actually, I’m not 100% yet. Just when I think I’m better, some other problem arrives. Lack of taste. Exhaustion. Brain fog. No sewing. No housework. Instead, I sleep, nibble when possible, pour fluids into my system, and nap. Today I opened the computer for the first time in a week to look in on the summit.
I hope to do a little housework tomorrow. It’s time to get rid of the organisms that are floating around the house so the kids will work up the nerve to come home.
Additionally, I need to assess where this website is. We’ve added almost 1,000 quilters to this community! That’s amazing. A special thanks to Quilters Paradise Fall Summit for providing a platform where quilters can find us all.

More good news!
The comments were positive and uplifting. Thank you to everyone who watched the summit classes, left comments, and purchased the VIP package. It’s always surprising to discover who participates. Despite knowing how interesting and varied the classes are. If you have not joined the fun, it’s time! I promise you will not regret it, and it doesn’t cost anything to watch during the live week.
I’ve done multiple hangings from panels and always thought I needed to be so much more precise than I really needed to be ( a little OCD) but can see that exact precision is not a requirement to make a great FMC on a project I will now be a little easier on myself and enjoy the process much more. Thank you. Maggie P
Thank you, Mary, for doing the improv on the spot to show the thought process as you work through the quilting. Giving permission to pick out the sections that didn’t meet your standards is so helpful! I didn’t realize I could do that when I missed the target but now will do that in the future. This class taught me that it is important to not be perfect but to have fun in the process. Ann H
Coming Soon
I’m thrilled that I decided to participate again in the Holiday Summit coming October, 26-31. I can’t give you any additional information on the Holiday Summit until I get the go-ahead, but I will as soon as possible through the newsletter and the blog. Meanwhile, I’ll add the Table Runner Magic class to the online classes in a few days. Right now, you can check out a couple of comments from this week.
This post is a bit short but I have no stamina left. I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for helping to create a community of like-minded people. Quilters are such good people! In fact, let’s take a moment to appreciate all the things quilters do to make our world a better place. What has your guild or group done lately? Share in the comments so we can all celebrate you and so we can share ideas for other guilds to try.
Thanks everyone, Mary
