And the Good News Is Pounding at My Door

Last week I told you the good news about teaching a class at International Quilt Festival in Houston. But did you think that it’s possible to get better Houston news? Yes, indeed. I got another email asking if I’d like to teach another class. Yes, please!
I’ll be teaching “Exquisite Improv Curves” on Tuesday, Nov. 10th.
On Friday, the 14th, I’ll teach “Almost in Church Stained-Glass.”
A sample of the Almost in Church class created using soft blues and purples with deep reds that create a steeple-like shape just off-center. It's meant to show Mary's good news about her classes.
I love both of these classes, but there’s a teacher in me. Always. And that teacher wants to improve what is already pretty good. I know, I know. “Leave good enough alone,” my momma used to say. Sorry mom, I know I can add to my class to make it “extra,” as your great-grandchildren love to say. “She has to be so extra.”
What am I doing to be extra? I’m working on a handout that explains the process and gives ideas for additional ways to use the skills that they learn in their classes. Now there’s some more good news.
An example of Mary's "good news"-- stained-glass class in Pensacola next week and in Houston.
Next week I’ll be in Pensacola FL to teach Almost in Church, the stain glass class that I absolutely love. I also have a couple of lectures. It’s a three-day event on the gulf coast. Doesn’t that sound extra? I’ll be sure to take photos and keep you all updated.
