A while back, I was triming out something–I don’t remember what–and dropping the scraps and bits just wherever they felt like going. I must have been cutting several of the same pattern, in the same color, at the same time. Imagine the odds. Anyway, three of four of the bits fell onto the tabletop and, when I looked down, I saw a flower. Of sorts.
Of course, I had to drop everything and play for a moment. As if I had never done this before. Play with bits of scraps.
And it was joyful kind of play. I also remembered to take pictures!
Eventually, I got back to the task at hand. With a little more joy in my heart.
