Our Christmas tree is decked out in gold, silver and red this year. The are my thing this year–seven strands seem to be just about right. Many of the ornaments are handmade: the tree drops, embroidery plates, tassels, and birds (except the white peacock). Even the little bird nest is handmade. Other ornaments are some our children chose when they were small boys. The many crosses are mostly gifts from the kids. I put a few on the tree one year, and they decided I had a collection. For a few years after, they would show up with a small cross.
